WHOAH.
Here's a documentary that Allen made about our church, Solomon's Porch: http://www.current.tv/watch/21674856?s1=topVids&list=topVidsByAssignment&filterone=0&filtertwo=0&sid=21674856&fr=5
Some right-wing conservatives left about 25-30 comments bashing the film and our church and basically condemning us all to hell and one person even called us "the anti-christ"! These people are frightening at first. I believe Jesus said not to judge people... They definitely believe in a different Jesus than I do. I am somehow reminded of a group of people called the pharisees.
There are websites ALL OVER THE INTERNET bashing the video and our church. Conservatives hate us. That makes me feel like we're doing something right.
There's an article on this website: Christian Worldview Network. They are bashing the video and telling their minions to go leave negative Hell Fire and Brimstone comments.
This is hilarious! I guess on one hand I'm indifferent and think that these people are so insane that it's just funny, but on the other hand I feel really sad for them.... I do. Allen even cried he felt so bad for them. I hope that Jesus will touch their hearts.

He uploaded another film to Current TV's website a few months ago and it got picked for TV and we got $500!

I've been a busy lil' bee lately! I have 17 bags in a store in Minneapolis, and I'm sending 30 to a store in San Fran (6 more to go!) plus I sold 4 bags. Here are the ones I'm mailing out to San Fran. I've been working on these the past few weeks.

This is my logo and tag. I made it with rubber stamps. It takes forever but it looks good.
( Tons of photos of my bags here )

I don't think I've mentioned that I have finally gotten a job! I have been working the last three weeks for the Minneapolis Public Libraries!!! YAY! I am a substitute though. So I'm a fill in. I work at all of the 14 branches. Basically they send me a schedule a week before and I can pick up about 2 days. I'm also on-call, so if they need someone last minute...they call me! However I think there's like 20 or more subs...so...this only leaves me working, like I said, about 15 hours a week at the branches. FORTUNATELY, the GORGEOUS brand new central library that they just built ALWAYS needs people! So the rest of the week I work at this lovely building:

I LOVE IT. They always rotate you so for 2 hours you do this, 2 hours you do that. Usually half of my day is shelving books and I can listen to headphonts. And EVERYONE there is REALLY friendly!!! They've all made me feel so welcome! I can't believe it. Minnesota nice for sure! ;) Usually l feel intimidated at new jobs and people don't go out of their way to say hi ever. East coast. So I'm just really happy. Plus my boss told her boss in front of me, that I'm a really great worker. Another woman told me she'd heard good things about me. I think everyone there likes me alot. I've befriended lots of people already! So I'm really crossing my fingers that I can get hired at the Central library. My goal is to get hired there by the summer.
SOME REALLY AMAZING NEWS
Allen has been depressed and unemployed for months. Plus he thought he could never get a film job which makes this news oh so very good.
Allen was contacted by a producer for current tv. They LOVED his film. They want him to mail them his demo reel (samples of his films). If they like it? They're going to hire him!!!! They'd pay him anywhere from $5,000-7,000 to make about FIVE 3-7 minute films!!!!! He could do that in about 3 months, meaning we'd get super good money!! I am just thrilled as is he. We are crossing our fingers, just hoping and praying that they like his demo reel, I'm sure they will, because it's really very good. This is exactly what he wants to do!! That would be his full time job! He wouldn't have to get some shitty job in the grocery store! (which he's been trying to get). Geez I'm so proud! We should know by next week if they want to hire him. I hope he gets it because I am not making enough money to provide for the both of us. He has to get something within a month or so. I really hope it's this job! He'd be so happy!
